Han Ning
Han Ning, who comes from Beijing, China, is currently a junior with Economics major and General Business minor at Iowa State University.
Ning was born in Beijing and has spent first 18 years of his life in his hometown, and then he came to Iowa in fall 2008. Ning really love animals and golfing in this free time. Ning has been U.S. for three years and really enjoys his life in Iowa.
Ning loves to play variety of roles beyond his academic life, such as being a college ambassador and a YMCA volunteer. He is holding the position of current president of Chinese Students & Scholars Association (CSSA) at ISU and acting as a member of Chinese Association of Iowa. During Ning’s tour of duty so far, he has been trying to give more support to the Ames Chinese community with the mission and responsibility of CSSA. Not surprisingly, his efforts turned to be successful. While keeping CSSA’s traditions in the past few years, Ning is also thinking out of the box. Last August, he founded a new CSSA official website which provided an online form for Chinese students and fellows to discuss anything related to their lives. Moreover, leaded by Ning and CSSA staff, a Chinese club is started this February and aims to offer more opportunities to everyone who is interested in learning Chinese and experiencing the real China.
